Last night, while attending an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting, I noticed a variety of cookies that I had never seen before, alongside the requisite
coffee pot. The cookies that I am referring to are Deerfield Farms brand Vanilla Sandwich Cookies. The reason that I took special notice of these cookies is because they are a Deerfield Farms product. Deerfield Farms is a line of private label products that are distributed by and available at Walgreens Pharmacies. Always very inexpensively – priced and of high quality, Deerfield Farms products include frozen chicken wings and corn dogs, dried fruit and many other items.
Because I have purchased and eaten several Deerfield Farms products in the past and have always been very pleased with them, I just had to try these vanilla sandwich cookies. I must say, I’m very glad that I did try the Deerfield Farms Vanilla Sandwich Cookies. These treats offer a delightful flavor that is not too sweet and they are actually quite refreshing. This inexpensively – priced Walgreens item so impressed me, that I have decided to write a consumer review of it. Presented here, in an effort to assist the consumer, is one food writer’s product review of Walgreens’ Deerfield Farms brand Vanilla Sandwich Cookies.
Size
The net weight of the package of Walgreens’ Deerfield Farms Vanilla Sandwich Cookies is 16 ounces. The package contains a large number of cookies, making it a great product for families. The container that holds these cookies is low – slung and thin and it takes up very little storage space. The size of the cookies themselves, is approximately the same as most other brands of sandwich cookies
Packaging
Walgreens’ Deerfield Farms brand Vanilla Sandwich Cookies are packaged in a clear, sectioned plastic tray. The cookies are then wrapped in plastic which features a clear, see – through window through which the enclosed cookies are visible. The outer plastic wrap also lists all ingredients and relevant nutritional information.
Texture
Texture is an important part of most food items and Walgreens’ Deerfield Farms brand Vanilla Sandwich Cookies are no exception. These cookies are enjoyable to eat, but personally, I feel that they are just a tad too firm, or hard, for my preference. Because I wear an upper front dental bridge, I am often hesitant to bite into hard foods and after feeling how hard these cookies were, I decided to break them in half before eating them. To most consumers though, these cookies are not too hard.

Taste / Flavor
These cookies offer a nice, mellow flavor that makes them easy to eat at any time. I like the fact that these cookies are not too sweet, yet they still satisfy my sweet tooth. The wafers feature a light and pleasant taste and the vanilla cream filling is as good as any other vanilla cream filling that I have ever eaten.
Price
Walgreens’ Deerfield Farms brand Vanilla Sandwich Cookies are very reasonably – priced. The price printed on the label of these excellent cookies is $1.79 per package, or two packages for $3.
