What Can Chlorella Powder Do for You?

by sawpan

I started using chlorella recently, and I am really happy with it. In just these few days, I have noticed marked improvements in energy, digestion and outlook. I feel more energetic and find myself thinking with longing about my workout tapes that have been gathering dust on the shelf for quite some time now. I have increased the exercise I do participate in from a 15 minute daily walk to a walk and a bike ride, and I have added a little weight work in the morning. This improvement in general energy came about within just a couple of days of using chlorella powder.

I tried chlorella because I had read that it could take the place of a number of other supplements. Since I was taking a shot glass full of supplement pills every day, this seemed like a good idea. From the results so far, I think that chlorella will more than take the place of these supplements. I think it will improve upon them. Most notably, after only a few days of using chlorella, I have seen marked improvement in the number and intensity of menopause related hot-flashes I have been experiencing. This is a tremendous relief.

Chlorella is blue-green algae. The powder I am using is actually almost black, it is so dark. I mix it with V8 juice, and it turns black! That’s a little bit yucky, but you can hardly taste it in V8 juice. It is not particularly good in green tea! I have read that you can’t taste it much in orange juice, but I don’t know if I could tolerate the color you would get mixing orange and deep green.

The good thing about chlorella is that it provides a lot of the benefits of many other supplements, so it can become your one and only supplement if you also eat well.
It’s natural, easily usable combination of essential vitamins, minerals, enzymes, fatty acids, and more will be far more beneficial to you than collection of mass produced products that may or may not be measured out properly, completely, or appropriately available for your body. Simply put, using chlorella, may enable you to greatly simplify your supplement regimen and feel much, much healthier!

What can chlorella do for you?

Chlorella:

Has lots of vitamins – C, K, A, and E, specifically, along with a complete array of B vitamins. It is also full of minerals like calcium, zinc, magnesium and iron.

Helps fight disease – including cancer. It is rich in beta carotene, carotenoids, and lutein. All great immune system boosters.
Has lots of enzymes and beneficial bacteria like lactobacillus. Having an abundance of these good bacteria will increase your ability to make the most of the food you eat by improving your digestion.

Keeps your blood clean and your innards working right. It’s broken down shells are high in fiber and very effective at collecting toxins from your system and sweeping them away. This fiber is particularly effective in binding with heavy metals, pesticides, lead, cadmium, mercury, PCB, and DDT as well as the many other toxins we come in contact with and ingest every day. It enhances liver function and helps neutralize toxins. Regular elimination and oxygenated blood bring about a reduction of body odors (including bad breath) and a general feeling of increased energy.

Helps keep you pH balanced. Our bodies should have a pH balance of 7.2 to 7.4; however, processed food, fast food and junk food are all quite acidic with a pH of approximately 2.7. This translates into a very acidic pH for you, and this situation just opens the door for diseases. Cancer and other ailments thrive in an acidic environment. Chlorella can help restore your neutral pH balance.

Strengthens your immune system with plentiful vitamins, minerals and healthy bacteria and stimulates your immune system to produce interferon. This is nature’s cancer fighter. With interferon present, the body makes T-Cells, macrophages, and other immune system soldiers to fight off the bad guys, and help you stay strong and healthy.

Helps keep you young with large amounts of RNA and DNA.

Reduces arthritis pain (as well as other types of pain) by reducing inflammation.

Increases blood circulation, thereby reducing the risk of heart disease, thrombosis, and blood clots. This function also has a positive effect on memory, clear headedness, and feelings of stress and anxiety.

Reduces fasting blood glucose levels and has a good effect on the genes controlling metabolism and insulin signaling pathways.

Reduces serum cholesterol and body fat.

Helps nursing mothers provide more pure and nutritious breast milk for their babies.

Is beneficial for balancing hormone levels.
