Too much sun is very bad for you. There I said it. I used to live on a beach at the seashore and every spring and summer thousands would flock there for the wonderful warming rays of the sunshine. I had a study upstairs and would watch these multitudes getting fried while doing my Doctorate on radiation.
Yes fried and you can believe this. Now for the lesson you don’t want to read about. There is some good in the sunshine but we as a culture do not use that part very much. Consider this. If there was so much good we would not need a planetary shield to block the harmful emissions that come from the star we call our sun. We can feel the radiation in the form of heat on our bodies, see the darkness disappear with the rising of the sun and also watch plants and matter grow with that energy. We equate the sun’s light with truth and happiness and the darkness without it with evil and misery. Peoples worship our sun, cultures exist by the seasons of growth it brings. So where’s the down side?
The downside is what we cannot see, what the emission’s of the sun does on the molecular level. That is the real story. Some in the medical field call that process cancer and it is an epithelium condition of dissociating tissue. I just call it cellular dissociation. Remember the microwave oven? Remember your sunburn? Remember those bright colors on your couch that are now faded? All have been dissociated by radiation. Why is the question we seek and I will now enlighten you with the how?
We and everything around us consist of atoms. The billions of atoms represent elements and those elements that bind together form molecules. Billions of molecules bound together form the matter that we consist of and the surroundings that we live in and breath by. Here is the good part. Everything radiates its own energy. That is the dissociating foundation of the cancer and why matter (we also) falls apart. Take that literally. Matter flies apart. The atom receives the emissions from our sun as electromagnetic and photon energy. “Electro” is the first association with the magnetic word because it is the electron that has left its orbit from the atom’s nucleus’s within the sun, is traveling thru space to us and everywhere else. Magnetic because the electron is by itself and would therefore be an attractive quantum of energy to something else that would need it. The photon because although some electrons do not leave their orbit, they emit back a component of the response (Born 1969:82) they had to the forces that would have made them fly out of their orbits.
This gets better. The electron and photon carry a certain energy state, let call that energy, its music. When the electron or photon strikes your body, it passes into your matter and the music is available for all your atoms and molecules to hear. Some of your parts and their atoms like the music and some have no reaction to it. Some individuals like country music. Some like classical music. It is this response to that electron’s music (quantum energy) that sets up the destructive potential. Earlier, I stated that not all matter responds to the electron’s or photon’s music. That is because the sun emits a vast range of music called the electromagnetic spectrum. I take that literally. Although the music we like to hear (CD) is far lower than the radiative music of our sun, the same electromagnetic laws apply. I am speaking of the term’s microwave, x-rays, the ultraviolet, infrared, gamma and so on. These are the ones that will harm us greatly if exposed to them for too long a period of time.
As the suns’ music from these harmful emissions’ strike our body and penetrate into the atoms below, those atoms will respond to that music in many ways because their ingestion of that music (quantum)(Crowther 1924:144) cause excitement. Their response will be seen by the electrons orbit proximity relative to their respective nuclei. The electrons show this motion by changing their orbits closer to the nucleus or moving higher or farther away. Should the electron respond with such excitement that it leaves the nucleus orbital configuration together that is the destructive force.
Now we can see why sunbathing causes such changes in our cellular state. We get burned, sick and over time, wrinkles, skin problems and cancer. This is the electron beneath and within us demonstrating their response to the suns’ music. We see this dissociation of cells in anything biologic. Food decays and the illness we experience from that change affects us all.
This is not to say that an individual should stay out of the sun altogether but that some caution should be exercised. This advice is important when medication or skin sensitivity is present. Additionally, please remember that many treatments are now available to disrupt the cancerous growths thru a suitably focused spectrum of radiation and at a specific wavelength and body location. The higher the frequency of emission, the shorter the wavelength and therefore the greater the energy values for disruption. Also, the suns’ rays are complete regarding the totality of radiation spectrums and we do not apply that entire spectrum in medical sciences all at one time. This is why when you are in direct sunlight, you are susceptible to all the higher radiation outputs and without specific filtering, our cells will respond accordingly over time and exposure to those energies. Please be cautious when getting that tan. It may cost you more than just a few dollars of lotion and a few minutes of your time.
