This is a question that I ask you. Why would anybody want to be a celebrity?
Celebrity
These days, it seems like once your name is cast up in lights; you’re a celebrity, whether you want to be or not. We still have the same old issues with the paparazzi. Nothing has really changed since the death of Princess Diana. You would think that people would learn to back off a little.
Public Figure
Some people think that once somebody is a public figure; that they have no right to privacy. I think this is wrong and I think that we need to respect each other as human beings.
Part Of Life
Everyone arrives on this planet in the same way. We all grow up and have similar experiences; it’s all part of life. While it’s true that once you become a celebrity, you do have a greater influence on the world around you, and you get noticed more often. As a celebrity, you’re able to draw attention to worthy causes if you choose to do so.
We Put Celebrities On A Pedestal
One thing that I think we do as a society is to put celebrities up on a pedestal and hold them to a higher standard. For some reason we think that celebrities represent perfection because we saw them in a movie or on a magazine cover. We forget about all the makeup and special effects that they do in movies and the airbrushing that they’re able to do for photos. We forget that they may be famous for being in the movies but, deep down; they’re just human beings like you and me.
Why Would Anybody Want To Be A Celebrity?
When someone becomes a celebrity, they get cast into the limelight and everything about them is broadcasted around the world for everybody to see. Now this causes me to come back to the same question. Why would anybody want to be a celebrity?
Big Issues Around Celebrities
Maybe I’m asking this question because I’m a private person. There are big issues around celebrities in today’s society. Some people try; desperately to look like celebrities by developing eating disorders like anorexia to be super thin; only to come out looking like a skeleton.
The term celebrity means that you’re a star. People look up to you and want to be like you; if you do one stupid little thing and make a mistake; woops, there goes your humanity and the world has come to an end.
Celebrities Are People Too
I think we need to remember that celebrities are people too. They have thoughts and feelings just like you do. They’re also susceptible to the same things that you are.
Tabloid Magazines
Unfortunately, tabloid magazines have become so popular that people want to know all the gossip about celebrities; regardless of whether it’s true or not. It’s sad that we live in a world where we have to make up stories about each other for our own personal amusement. You’d think that people could find a productive way to use their time.
Money Talks And…
I know that money talks and bullsh*t walks; but, come on people, let’s be productive members of society.
What If?
Do you ever wonder what the world would be like if everybody was focused on becoming a better human being, rather than trying to find ways to boost their own self-esteem? We would have a brand new world and I think people would be a lot happier.
Paparazzi And The Media
Maybe the tabloid magazines are all about reminding people that celebrities are people too; just like the rest of us. But, they go about getting their material in the wrong way. When you see all the stuff that celebrities go through with paparazzi and other members of the media; it brings me back to the same question. Why would anybody want to be a celebrity?
